Intensives
THE MEANINGFUL LIFE
SIX MONTH INTENSIVE
LEVELS One & TWO - MARCH 2018
Relational mindfulness for love and work.
The Meaningful Life (TML) looks at using your meditation practice to come into radical acceptance of yourself as you are now without wanting to change anything. Using John Bowlby’s attachment theory as a model for understanding how we connect with other people, you will learn how we can be completely ourselves in our relationships with others and with our work. In other words, how to live a meaningful life.
The teaching consists of five course levels, each lasting six months. Level One is open to all students and offers instruction in Buddhist theory, Attachment Theory, relapse prevention strategies, and in-depth meditation techniques. Level Two is open to students who have completed Level One as well as students have previously taken any of our previous iterations of The Meaningful Life course. It will focus on developing secure relationships, uprooting past attachment conditioning, working through conflict resolution strategies, and will draw more deeply on Daniel P. Brown's attachment protocols.

MEDITATION INTERVENTIONS
FOR THE ADDICTION PROCESS
MARCH 2018
Meditation based healing for substance and process-
related addictions.
The techniques and strategies covered in Meditation Interventions for the Addiction Process (MIAP) are specifically designed to support healing for people dealing with addiction and addiction-related issues. As evidenced by George Haas's own personal path, mindfulness meditation-based skills training can offer a truly effective behavioral change in the realm of addiction. Combining traditional meditation approaches, the relapse pattern theories from the work of G. Alan Marlatt, Phd., and John Bowlby’s Attachment Theory, this class provides a simple, easy-to-learn, and very pragmatic approach to addressing addiction.
MIAP is offered in a 12-week, 36 class intensive outpatient format, and a six-month intensive post-acute treatment training. Students working with MIAP move to The Meaningful Life after stabilizing in their recovery from process and substance addictions.
